I applied in-person. I interviewed at Parijat Controlware (Houston, TX) in Jan 2017
Interview
Met with the manager (could have been the owner), he asked the basic interview questions. Afterwards, I went to a conference room with a slow desktop PC in the corner of the room to do answer a few programming questions and to create a calculator application in VB.NET or C#.NET. Declined job offer after learning the salary was $43k. Way below half the average market salary. Side note: got a glance of the work environment and it was basically a high school-class-size room with computers in the middle.

I applied online. I interviewed at Parijat Controlware (Houston, TX) in Jan 2017
Interview
As soon as I got to their office, I was asked to take a test by an employee. The test included a little bit of programming and basic questions related to computer science such as numerical systems. After the test, I actually interviewed with one of the managers to discuss my experience and the test. Finally, I interviewed with another manager (maybe owner) about my experience and salary expectations. While interviewing with him, I realized they don't see their employees as team members but as a piece of equipment they're buying. Don't waste your talent with a company that doesn't value its employees. I got a job offer, but it was way below the market value. Regardless of the offer, carefully look for red flags if you accept to go for an interview.
