They reach out to you via job boards. They are very interested in college students due to graduate. First, you have a phone interview, which is a very easy process. You’ll get a call at 5 if you qualify for the second interview. Next you have a traditional interview, for which you must wear a suit or formal business attire. Despite filling out your information, cover letters and references online, they will still have you fill that out on a clipboard. You sit in a tiny entrance room with about 30 other applicants. After a while, you split into groups of two for the interview. It was odd because two African American women went as a pair and two Caucasian women went as a pair. During the double person interview, an individual who looks like they just graduated high school will ask you several questions, such as why you would be a good fit. They honestly ask general interview questions. Now the thing is, when they approached you for this job, they had a salary posted with a job description that seemed promising, in which it states a fixed salary with a job description that entails office work, but as soon as you make it to the second round of interviews, the truth is revealed, they tell you that: 1. They work for AT&T 2. Wear formal clothes to arrive to work 3. Get to work and change into AT&T shirts and chinos 4. The office carpools to a neighborhood that AT&T gave them with contacts 5. Split into teams of two 6. Knock on those doors 7. Try to get them to buy AT&T packages 8. If you sell a certain amount you get commission which means no salary 9. You work Monday- Saturday 10. Work starts at noon to God knows when 11. If you sell well then you get promoted, maybe, if at all Third round of interviews: Show up in casual business clothes and shadow workers for a whole day which means you get to go knock on people’s doors awkwardly. Just avoid this place unless what I’ve just described entices you.

I applied through Zip Recruiter and got a phone call literally fifteen minutes later ... which I thought was strangely quick. At first I didn't know who they were because on ZR they're listed as "Communications Solutions Provider" and not as Peak Enterprises, so when I got the phone call telling me I applied for them I was a little confused. But I continued with the call where the lady asked me basic questions like "tell me about yourself" and "why are you applying for this job", and then we scheduled a face to face interview for the next day. This I felt was a waste of time. I was so nervous for it and I shouldn't have been because it was a total of ten minutes from the time I parked my car to the time I got back into my car. The office itself gave me odd vibes. I don't know what it was, but I felt like they were trying to make the place seem really cool and fun (having a big TV with ESPN playing, memorabilia and plaques on the walls, a room with a pool table and some arcade game thing, etc.) ... even though they probably knew it's not that great of a place. The guy I spoke with said they were just trying to match faces to resumes. We went over my resume and he asked me why I left my last job and why I applied to this one. Anyway I went home and in the afternoon they called me to say I got a second interview which would be the following morning. I really didn't think I would get called back just because of my previous job experience being in a completely different industry, so I will admit that I was surprised when they wanted me in again. So the second interview took about an hour. I wasn't nervous for this at all because at this point after yesterday's interaction and a little glassdoor search, I knew I wasn't going to accept a position here if they offered one to me. I was going for interview experience. So you fill out some paperwork, meet with the CEO, and then go off to chat with two hiring managers. Everyone in the office looked super young, one of the hiring managers I spoke with looked like he was maybe eighteen. I felt like they were trying to sell me the job, rather than trying to get to know me and determine whether or not I'd be a good fit for the position. They spent a majority of the time talking about how much you can make by making sales, boasting about how their employees make their way up the ladder to opening up their own management in under 8 months, and etc etc. I found out that they quite literally do door-to-door sales of AT&T and DirecTV. They don't tell you that at first, they make it sound more glamorous but that's really what it is. I made a comment about it being sales and they got offended saying it's not a sales job that it's management ... then continued to talk about how they speak with homeowners and try to make sales .... Anyway after speaking with the hiring managers, we returned back to the office where you fill out more paperwork before meeting with another person for any final questions. They said if I got the job they would call me in the late afternoon and if I didn't hear from them I didn't get the job, which I thought was odd because I'd at least like to receive a TBNT email rather than hear nothing from them at all. I guess it's good interview experience if you need it, but really I wouldn't waste your time. Everyone I talked to was very friendly. But the whole place just didn't really seem super professional to me, and I couldn't shake the weird vibes I was getting from being in their office.
