      IT Interview

      15 Jul 2019
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Pella in Dec 2018

      Interview

My school was nowhere near Pella, IA, so a WebEx interview was conducted (for those of you unfamiliar with WebEx, think of it as Skype). The overall interview experience was good. I was not sure if I would be asked the typical interview questions or questions more focused on the role I was applying for. The questions overall ended up being your typical questions i.e. what are your three weaknesses? What are your strengths? With that being said, do not go into the interview without brushing up on the knowledge of your major or role you are applying for. I would also recommend preparing for their questions by making a short study guide of interview questions and your answers. No, you do not have to memorize your answers, but it helps you answer the questions faster since you have already done so previously. I believe this helped me land the internship because every question they asked, I had prepared for and had a well thought out answer rather than stumbling with my thoughts. Final point: ASK QUESTIONS. They will ask if you have any questions, ask some! This shows you care and have interest about the company.

      Interview

Great conversation. They actually ask you questions regarding your skills and expect you to defend them. It shouldn't be a problem if you can actually defend your skills and overall they were exremely nice.
