I met first with the Program Director and Assistant. Immediately troublesome question when the comment was made several times that the reason I had been on unemployment for 6 months was because "...you got that age thing going on..." and that my resume was " intimidating..." .Called back to meet with the Director of HR the next day who was among the most insulting, degrading, humiliating and offensive people I ever had the misfortune of meeting. Spoke volumes to me however of how I could expect to be treated as an employee.
First question "I see you have been out of work for 6 months, what have you been doing?." I was later asked to simply rate my self confidence "...on a scale of 1 to 10". When I asked to clarify the question with respect to my self confidence about what I was told very pointedly again "On a scale of 1 to 10 how would you rate your self confidence." Anxiously and hesitantly I responded "10". The interviewer began to laugh, turned to the person next to them and said "We've never heard that before!"
