I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Perfios Software (Bengaluru) in Nov 2019
Interview
Interview was scheduled by Randstad.
Looking at their website, the company typically extracts data from the bank statements, loan statements, tax statement, financial statement to create reports(weather a person is eligible to be given loan or not etc) .
While I came early, the panel was late. Even before the interview is to be formally start, following were my observation:
1. Panel was not interest to take the interview at all.
2. He had a sign of arrogance and sarcasm while looking at my resume.
3. He was technically mediocre. (this was confirmed during by turn to ask questions).
And I wasn't wrong at all. In next 1 hour, while I was explaining about my project architecture and technical stack, he was neither attentive or interested, except for some 2 questions, there were no technical deep dive or followup or cross question whatsoever.
One thing I would like to highlight here:
During my turn to ask question: When I asked what kind of methods that they might be using to extract data and make analysis, his answer was "that is our (IP)Intellectual property". Obviously, at that context, I meant, were they using any ML/AI techniques which would have been exciting. A closed ended answer(yes/no) would have been sufficient instead of getting offended.
