Despite a posted job description, for which I met a high quantity of qualifications, upon the interview it was clear they didn’t really know for sure what they wanted. Environment seemed a bit chaotic although it shouldn’t be for a company with these resources. The questions were OK but like other companies, there were a lot of questions about my ability to work within a team that is in multiple offices. Why? Because I was over 30? Guess what? Gen X can work with people in all capacities because we have been for years now. In 2020 this shouldn’t be something to obsess over, almost everyone has done this by now. I hope they’re not still asking these questions in 2021....
Initial follow up after application was strong but then was ghosted until about two months later when someone higher up in HR sent a form rejection - thanks for confirming what I’d already concluded!
