I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Personio in Sept 2021
Interview
The interview process is really easy and convenient. The main part is the homework – coding challenge related to the company domain, then a follow-up zoom call to discuss the UI and code of the application. Everything was super smooth and friendly. The rest interviews are culture fit which is pretty typical for all modern companies.

Question 1
Describe the situation when you have conflicts in the team.

Interview
Recruiter screen, followed by a hiring manager screen,
During the interview, as I was working through a solution, the interviewer repeatedly edited code I was working in real time. The interviewer did not ask permission or state why they were editing code but appeared to simply refactor code. I clearly stated that I was focused on solving the task first and would refactor after.
I was then ghosted by the recruiter.
It was one of the most unprofessional interviews I have ever had with a company.

Interview
HR Interview is really bad. They are 30 mins late in our interview so they rushed up with mine. They asked me irrelevant questions from the JD like
"What is your process of shipping a feature to production?" and
"What is your process in fixing bugs and shipped to production?" and
"How do you interact with the customer feedback?"
I tried to answer it by explaining that we do have automated scripts or pipeline for that process. We have this bot that runs thru all reviews and feedback from Play Store and App Store that automatically create tickets and put in our backlog. We also have CI/CD pipelines for shipping our codes into production that includes all linting scan, smoke tests, unit test, integration test, vulnerability scans etc.
Then After two weeks of waiting they come back to me and said that they choose better candidate that match their requirements.
I don't really get it why asking me DevOps question while applying for FrontEnd position then tell me that I'm not met their requirements while their questions are irrelevant for the position?
