I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Pexip
Interview
Candidates are given by a homework. And unfortunately the company has proven an idea that if you are proposed to spend too much time on such homeworks, it would be useless and just wasting your time.
Be ware that interviewers could be less experienced engineers which might explain why they ask candidates to spend time on endless homework, and even if the homework would be done properly, they might not always understand made decisions.
If you think that a homework checks your motivation, it is wrong, it checks how stupid you are.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What is authentication/authorization, how you would implement security in homework.
First video call with an engineer with the usual background questions and some basic CS.
Second video call with another engineer, this time they dug deeper into the subject: low-level OS stuff, memory management, syscalls, C keywords, etc.
They were very nice and pleasant to talk to. Also, they use Pexip for the video calls ;)
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Pexip in Dec 2019
Interview
Disgusting and time consuming process. Passed first 2 tech interviews online, implemented homework task with their "bonus section" after that I had another tech call discussing homework and got rejected after that
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
During first two rounds they asked about low-level OS stuff. They have the same interview for all engineer positions. I've applied for python automation and during first two interviews we discussed system calls and virtual to physical address translation...
These interviews were not difficult(cause I know low-level stuff) but it may be completely irrelevant to position you apply for
