During the application process, they asked if I was available to work a hybrid schedule out of one of their offices. The job is labeled as remote and nowhere in the posting does it say the position is hybrid. This is falsely labeled in an attempt to get more people to apply for the job.

Question 1
Are you available to work a hybrid schedule at one of our office locations?
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Planet DDS (Los Angeles, CA) in Mar 2026
Interview
1. Zoom screen (nice chat)
2. CTO chat (nice chat)
3. Technical chat (engineers that warmed up towards the end, OK chat)
4. CEO chat (nice chat)
5. Manager chat (nice chat)
After over a month of waiting and multiple chats, I received a wonderful
"...ultimately decided to move forward with another candidate who has deeper experience with the AI tooling they are using..."
email. Never mind that tool usage should have been determined by step 3 (3 weeks into the process).
The interview process felt relaxed and well-structured, consisting of two main stages: a Conversational Technical Interview and a Cultural Interview. Rather than focusing on high-pressure problem-solving, the technical portion was discussion-based, allowing for a more natural exchange of ideas. This made it easier to demonstrate both knowledge and thought process without feeling rushed or overly scrutinized.
