Question 1
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Plantix in Jun 2025
Interview
1) Screening interview with a recruiter (seemed to be outsourced)
2) Joint interview with current VP of Sales and CTO (also co-founder)
3) Practical exercise consisting of a pre-prepared presentation (took approx 1.5 hours), unseen task to be completed on the call and a roleplay. (Also took 1.5 hours)
They completely ghosted me after the third stage, until I finally received an automated email from somebody in HR approximately 3 weeks after my practical session. I had followed up with them, but nobody replied.
When I responded to the rejection notice, copying in the VP of sales, he responded offering a feedback session. Unfortunately due to an unforeseen emergency I needed to cancel and rearrange and he responded rudely and blocked me from accessing his calendar in the future. Seems that I dodged a bullet by not being selected here.

Question 1
Practical session consisted of:
1) Pre prepared presentation on how to achieve sales targets. This was very difficult to approach since much of this context would only be available to a person already working in the job. I attempted to answer the (many) questions in the briefing doc and this didn't seem to impress them much.
2) Unseen task, this was emailed to me at the beginning of the meeting and I was given 5 mins to ask questions about the task then 10 minutes to prepare a presentation to the "board" played by the interviewer. Again, it wasn't really clear what they wanted. The excel is a simulated output of their CRM and there are some things in the data that I imagine they expect people to find.
3) Roleplay with the VP of Sales posing as a CEO of a large agrichemical business. This was really weird as he deflected every question with "I'm not responsible for that" leaving me trying to pitch a product that I'd obviously had no training on. Altogether a very odd part of the exercise since it wasn't really clear what benefit they were getting from it.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Plantix (Mumbai)
Interview
The CEO is friendly, although has a unique style, the expectations are average. There was a particular question that can't be answered unless you are working in the company. A particular service to a particular party - no way to know nor guess.
