I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Player One Marketing (Falls Church, VA) in May 2024
Interview
Very odd. I showed up to a dingy run down office (very little decor, tiles cracked or missing from the floor) and waited for my interview time. Turns out the company was having a speed interview day and had candidates back to back. I was interviewed by someone who had obviously never seen my resume as she asked me things like my name, experience, and what my vibe is (actual question). She wrote all this down on an office pad with everyone else's information from the day. Right off the bat this sounded like an MLM based off the interview questions like "are you alright to relocate and start your own branch?", "we have success stories from all over the country", etc. I was told the position would be marketing for charities and/or charity cases, but the interview sounded more like a Facebook MLM scam. Best to avoid this if you don't want to go that route.

Question 1
What's your vibe? That's a very important thing for us here, we're all about vibe and making sure you'll be able to vibe with us.

Interview
Read previous reviews on Glassdoor prior to the interview and can confirm that they are a MLM scheme company. Position is advertised as a marketing or events associate role but you are essentially just kiosking at malls asking people for donations. Interviewer was quite arrogant in boasting about how much money they've raised for various foundations and had a very boomer-like mindset when it came to discussing digital approaches. They were also flipping through interviews and said they would follow-up with a result but never did.

Interview
Interview is extremely easy. You will have the job if you are able to hold a bare minimum conversation. They are not transparent at all about what the job actually is. Everybody starts out doing basic fundraising- standing outside of grocery stores all day. They try to talk it up by saying you can start your own branch of the company, but it is equivalent to a MLM Pyramid Scheme. There also are not any benefits. You will be expected to work long evenings and weekends. Unless you are looking for some type of internship, save yourself the same by not interviewing with this place. It’s not worth it and it is so unstable.
