I interviewed with Popcore during the summer of 2021 for a Lead Game Designer position. I held 3 specific interviews with 3 short "catchup" interviews to segue into the next part of the process. The process itself was quite straightforward and transparent and the HR people involved where really professional and ensured that everything went smooth and I had all the needed information. The interviews themselves did not follow a classic test-based approach but involved talking with two high figures in the company to discuss their areas of influence. Both of them were pretty insightful and explained their needs clearly to me, fastly recognizing that even if my skills and expertise were good, I lacked specialization in the area of mobile gaming that Popcore operates (Hypercasual), which I also suspected, and consider that I will be better suited to more "classical" companies. The exit short "catchup" was greatly appreciated as I have experienced other companies that simply dissapear or just send a succint email after a negative closure. Salary range discussed was good and they offer remote working. All in all, a good experience and an interesting company.
