      Implementation Specialist Interview

      8 Mar 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      San Francisco, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Practice Fusion (San Francisco, CA) in Mar 2018

      Interview

I received an unscheduled call from the recruiter a few days after applying online. I happily answered the unknown call and was interviewed and screened for the position. I thought it was inappropriate when the recruiter asked me, “Are you not at work today? How are you able to talk??” The recruiters whole vibe and demeanor was very unfriendly to say the least. Finally, she says, “I’m afraid you don’t have enough software experience.” Yet she proceeds to schedule a interview with the hiring manager. This, in my opinion was a big mistake. I wish she just declined me then instead of wasting my time. Sure enough, I interviewed with the hiring manager via phone, who seemed very nice. The next day the recruiter called to let me know that she doesn’t think I have enough experience. Waste of my time. I think we could do better in 2018. May I add that the job listing lists this role as an entry-level position with “1-2 years of customer service and sales” which I have senior experience in. Everything happens for a reason..!!

Take care of applicant throughout the process like a human and update them. Really enjoyed learning more and asking questions. Would have loved to work here if i had not moved. No micromanagement from what I have seen and competitive pay and work life balance seems good

      Interview

Had an initial screening with a recruiter that was mostly just about the role and if I was still interested, because it is a quota driven role. Next was a phone call with the hiring manager, which was very casual and again, touched on what my fears of the roles were and what I was looking for in my next role. Pretty much just said that I'd like to learn more about the sales process and am a competitive person that would be very driven to succeed in the role. Next was a 2 hour on-site with 4 30-minute components. The first 30 minutes was a "sales pitch", but since I hadn't been in sales before I just gave a powerpoint presentation on a product that I had previously worked with. Be prepared to be interrupted with clarification questions, but nothing too challenging. Then had 3 30-minute behavioral that were pretty casual. 2 of them were with members of the team and the 3rd was with the hiring manager that I had spoken to on the phone. Everyone was super nice and they were mainly just interested in how I would apply my experiences to the sales role and why I was excited about it/think I would be successful in it. One question that I got asked in multiple interviews (that I think was from a script) was what urgency meant to me, and how I instilled urgency with clients. Unfortunately I had to withdraw from the process because of a separate offer, but had a great experience up until the point where I waited for over 2 weeks after to hear back from them on an offer or not.
