Software Engineer - Front End Interview

      6 Jul 2017
      Anonymous employee
      Los Altos, CA
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at PredictSpring (Los Altos, CA) in Dec 2016

      Interview

There was a 30 minute phone call which seemed like a quick introduction and then a pitch about the company. We agreed on a date for a full day on-site interview. On the day of the interview I arrived early and was involved in their daily stand-up meeting which seemed awkward but didn't take long. I was then given an exercise which I was told would take most of the day. It was a pretty straight forward web application. I was told I could use any frameworks I wanted and any method I wanted to accomplish the task. The exercise was not technically challenging and took about 6 hours to complete. At the end of the day, I presented my exercise to the team and then had a 1:1 chat with the CEO. After that I was asked to "hang tight". The hiring manager and the CEO came back shortly and presented me with an offer.
