I was quickly contacted by a recruiter and case manager through email to set up a brief phone screening about the job, salary expectations, and availability for an in-person interview. I was not told what building to go to before the interview and my arrival was not expected, so I had to wait an additional 20 minutes to meet with the interviewer. They, the interviewer, was friendly and hospitable. We had a brief chat during the facility tour. When it was finally time to sit down with the interviewers, I introduced myself and we started with the interview. Everyone was pleasant to interact with and provided valuable insight, except a director for a certain department. She was incredibly cynical, disinterested, unaware, and unprofessional in her responses and questions. This was very disconcerting, especially in the way she spoke about clients seeking treatment and the organization as a whole. These factors and not seeing myself enjoying working alongside her left me disinterested in moving forward with my candidacy.
