I worked with a placement agency to get a phone interview. I was asked to call Robert "Bob" Meehan at a specific time. When I called, I was told he was busy and he would call me back. Twenty minutes later I received a phone call. The interview took about a half hour and consisted mainly of him talking about himself, his needs and his company. When he asked me a question, he did not let me complete my answer. When I asked him a question, he deflected.
At the end of the interview, he told me that if he was interested, he would require I come in for an in-person interview. Later that day I was asked in for the face-to-face interview. I arrived ten minutes early and was asked to wait in the lobby. Nearly half an hour after my interview time, Mr. Meehan escorted me to a conference room. Here he did the same thing as before. He spoke on and on about himself, his needs and his company. He did not look me in the eye, did not let me finish my sentences and did not seem interested in my questions.
Once that was over, he asked me to meet with the employee I'd be replacing. This man basically told me not to take the position before he began showing me the ropes. Once my time with him was done, Mr. Meehan said the if he was interested he would require a second face-to-face interview.
