Digital Technology Specialist (Dental, CAD/CAM) Interview

      22 Oct 2020
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Woodbridge, ON
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Proto3000 (Woodbridge, ON) in Oct 2020

      Interview

**Please note: The interviews I had with this company for this position was conducted during the COVID-19 pandemic in late 2020, so should the pandemic end anytime soon and pre-pandemic normalcy resumes, the experience I am providing below may or may no longer be relevant and should only be used with discretion, as a reference. First interview was an initial screening over the phone by HR, a basic overview of your qualifications for the job with some basic questions such as why did you apply here. Second interview was conducted via Zoom/Google Meet**. It was a more dynamic, collaborative, interpersonal interaction with a group of interviewers (you the applicant, HR [possibly the same person you talked to during the first interview], department manager where you will prospectively will be working at if hired, and maybe another employee you will be working with in the same department if hired). They will review your qualifications, and skills to see if you meet the requirements of the job and will ask you more situational questions such as "describe a situation where you had to deal with a difficult customer, etc." After a week, I was called in for a third interview to be conducted in person (masks mandatory**) at their head office in Woodbridge. Bascially the same format as the second interview with the same people but with more pointed and detailed questions to see if your attitude and suitability meets their criteria. They will try to get to know you more as a person and see this time if your personal attitude and grit is a right match for the job. They will be asking more detailed situational questions such as "describe a situation where you had to go above and beyond your current role" and will suggest to you challenges and project-oriented goals if you are willing to meet and face them head-on. If they like you a lot, they will give you a tour of the facility and explain what they do here (I'm not sure if giving tours to prospective employees here is just if they like you and seriously considering you, or a standard procedure to everyone so they don't feel bad about not hiring you afterwards). P.S. At this point, I got a confirmation that I am no longer being considered for the position, so I am unable to confirm if there is a "fourth" interview round or a trial employment period beyond the third interview stage.
