Applied, and the process included a self-paced interview where the application asks interview questions and you type the responses in. Next step was to self-schedule an interview. Met with the hiring manager for the role and she kept saying that infection prevention is not public health which is bizarre considering the pandemic and the need to contain outbreaks including covid and other infectious agents, and the need to report certain communicable diseases to public health departments which is public health. I didn't feel comfortable with the hiring manager, couldn't see myself working with her day in and day out, and it didn't seem like a good fit. The hiring manager said the next phase would be a panel interview. I went with my gut feeling, and withdrew from the interview process. The second risk management position, their recruiter sent the self-scheduled interview and then cancelled it. It doesn't seem like they have functional, mature, and professional processes in place like other organizations and health systems I have worked with, and it gives me a better sense about why these positions might be open.
