      Fastrack Procurement Consultancy Scheme Interview

      23 Apr 2019
      Anonymous employee
      London, England
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Proxima (London, England) in Feb 2019

      Interview

Following my application for the role, the process firstly involved a 30 minute 'screening' phone call where I was required to talk through my CV and brief experience in relevant sectors / industries. This was very informal and had a positive atmosphere throughout what was more like a conversation rather than an interview. Following this call, I was then invited to an assessment day at Proxima’s London HQ. This was very well organised, with the relevant information and details being sent to me weeks in advance, allowing for travel arrangements and preparation to be made. It is important to note that at this stage, Proxima were very quick to respond to any questions I had either by phone or by email. Upon arrival, I was met by the building security guard. He knew exactly who I was and why I was there, ensuring I was quickly directed to the correct floor and office where I was warmly received by both the receptionist and HR advisor, offering refreshments and somewhere to wait until the day was due to start. The day began with a networking lunch where we were privy to several speeches from employees who had been in the same position as us previously, and also the CEO, who explained a lot about Proxima, what the role would entail and future career prospects. Following this, we were then taken individually to a room, and given a case study and 30 minutes to prepare an informal presentation and interview with a panel of 2. This whole process lasted roughly 2.5 to 3 hours. Throughout the buildup and from the moment I arrived for the assessment day, the communication and attention to detail that I received really showed a true glimpse of the culture at Proxima. It was clear how much the day meant to Proxima as a company and the effort and time they put into each and every one of their employees. The majority of the board were there for the networking session, wanting to meet and individually introduce themselves to the candidates and each employee seemed genuinely interested about my past experience and what I had to say. I had a positive experience throughout the process and left feeling as though I knew and understood exactly the organisation and role I could potentially be walking in to.
