      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at PulseLearning (Toronto, ON) in Feb 2022

      Interview

The interview process was a mess. I applied in January 2022, had a first remote interview with a member of the Canada HR Team a week later - the first week of February. Then a remote interview with my would-be boss a few days after that - she was in Ireland. Then a three-week gap of radio silence. Then an invitation to the third interview with my wood-be boss and an Ireland-based HR contact the first week of March. The following Monday I had a call with the original member of the Canada HR Team and a third party Canadian consultant where I was given a verbal offer (Mar 8). I was also sent a written email offer (not an employment contract) conditional on 3 successful reference checks. I was asked for a reference list, a list of tech needs, and I was asked to sign an NDA. Provided. Waited. No offer letter. Was told the the key global HR manager was on vacation. Fast forward to March 23, I was booked into a “meet the team” call with the the same member of the Canada HR Team; someone in People Operations and a new third-party hiring person from Ireland. My references were contacted the following week. My references called me to let me know how it went. I was not asked for a background check. Then I was ghosted a second time until I followed up. Yesterday I received a vague rejection email with no feedback. 5 interviews, almost 3 months, 10 hours of prep and interview time spent (was asked to complete an online program), 40+ emails sent back and forth, 6 different people met (2 third party), no job or feedback provided. This company looks amazing on paper but it seems like they rely too heavily on third-party consultants who won’t actually work with the candidates on the day-to-day, and they don’t value people's time or efforts.

      Question 1

How did it feel to be made redundant (at a previous job)? Why should we hire you? What are your compensation expectations? Did you complete the I Am Here course(s)?

I applied online. I interviewed at PulseLearning

      Interview

I was contacted by one recruiter, then spoke with a different recruiter. The second recruiter was to connect with the first recruiter (I had concerns about title and salary), but the first recruiter sent a note saying I needed to let them know if I still wanted to speak to a recruiter or not. 2 minutes later, I received a rejection email from the second recruiter. There was clearly some miscommunication.
