The recruitment process was rather detailed and to me was fair. The company did its diligence to get to know me. I was first phone screened by the hiring manager very quickly (to me, much better than a recruiter). I was then asked to complete a short 10 question test with some academic questions and real-life situations that could come up in the position. Many people don't like tests like these but I actually believe it was very good for both, the company to assess my skills and for me to know what to expect in the position. I then participated in 2 more formal rounds of interviews: 1) one with the HR manager and 2) the other with the hiring manager and a senior engineer. Interviews were virtual, unknown to me if it was the company's preference or travel restrictions at the time. Interviews went very well, they were very transparent and clear about the expectations and requirements of the role. The whole recruitment process might have taken around 2-3 weeks which to me was a positive sign, and the company kept me updated along the process.
