Initial Recruiter called and setup a on-site interview at the Fremont Facility. On-site Interview took about 2 hours, with the hiring manager asking mostly technical questions. It wasn't super difficult, however when asking about the hiring manager's managing style, he said he likes to micro-manage. It was a big red flag for me, so I stopped showing interest in the position. He asked some weird questions not really relating to board design, but component level design to the logic level. I hadn't worked with that in years, so I didn't know. The day after recruiter called to see if I had interest in the position and to see how the interview went. I didn't show much interest. Taiwanese run company, so seems like little to no diversity. Meeting room looked old and beat up. I think if you're interested in this company you need to be okay with being micro-managed and with a strict asian culture. No hybrid work or remote and little flexibility in hours. Asked about benefits, and only gave about 10 days. Hiring manager didn't know how many days and said 7 days during the interview. You might not get a work life balance here. Asked what tools they use to make work more efficient, seems like they don't use many tools other companies use.
