To set the stage: I had 16 years of ASIC design experience. I interviewed for an FPGA position. ASICs and FPGAs are very closely related, but they didn't seem to understand that and thought I was an absolute beginner. One designer even started yelling and making fun of me and shouted a bunch of false accusations at me.

Spoke to recruiter, then hiring manager, then with a future peer. I did not make it past that. They asked questions about multicast, tcp, routers, switches, Wide Area Networks (WAN) and Local Area Networks (LAN)
