I had heard of this company through the Puget Sound Business Journal and I had seen the company at a job fair at the University of Washington. At the time (April 2009), there were openings for several different office positions. I scheduled an interview while at the job fair.
The first thing I noticed was that I was older than everyone in the office. The average age seemed to be around 28. The offices themselves were sparse but neat, in a highrise in downtown Seattle.
The interviewer was more interested in who I might know with money to invest through their company than what my job skills were. She didn't ask much about my office background, but she did read my resume while I was there.
I left feeling I wasn't given much of a chance to give a good impression, even if I might not have been the kind of person they might have been looking for.
