Phone screen, video interview with 3 engineers from parent company, then in person interview with engineering director and HR. The phone screening was very short, the HR person didn't seem to know any details about the position itself so I wasn't able to get any questions answered. Then the virtual interview was very long. The first person asked "gotcha questions" for the entire hour, the second person did a coding walkthrough question, and the third person was just there to answer questions that I had. All three were from the parent company so they couldn't really answer any specific questions about the position either. The in person interview went fine, I was finally able to understand what I would be doing there. They were trying to fill out a new engineering team but benefits, salary, and in-person schedule were well below market rate. They also asked an illegal question in the interview. They said they were having trouble filling the position and I learned why.
