I had 3 interviews here and never really got the opportunity to learn about the position. All 3 interviews were for “culture fit” and were with HR people and a person sitting in role I was applying for. On the 3rd interview the guy didn’t show up and we had to reschedule. In that interview I assumed I would learn more about the role but was instead asked more very generic sales related questions. Very disappointing process as it took about 3 weeks to get through to this point and I never even got the opportunity to find out if I was really interested in the role or not.

Question 1
Very basic HR related questions and general sales experience
I applied online. I interviewed at Qwilr (Perth, Western Australia) in Nov 2025
Interview
I went through two interview rounds for an Account Executive role at Qwilr in November 2025. The first interview was with the Sales Manager, followed by a second interview shortly after with recuriter. Both conversations were positive, and I specifically raised the question of whether the role could be based in Perth, which I was told would be workable at the time.
After the second interview, communication became very slow, despite multiple follow-ups. Over a month later, I received an update saying the role had been put on hold, with encouragement to reapply in early 2026.
When the role reappeared in January 2026, I reapplied, only to be declined on the basis that Perth/WA was not an ideal location due to time zone overlap with the US-based team. This location constraint was not raised at any point during the initial interview process, nor was it mentioned in the earlier email encouraging me to reapply. Had this been communicated upfront, it would have helped set clearer expectations and avoided unnecessary time investment on both sides.
I appreciate that companies refine priorities over time, and the team was polite in their responses. However, clearer alignment and transparency around non-negotiables such as location and time zone earlier in the process would significantly improve the candidate experience.
Pros
Friendly interviewers
Product and company appear interesting
Professional tone in communication
Cons
Slow follow-up and unclear timelines
Key role requirements (location/time zone) changed after interviews
Mixed messaging around reapplying
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Qwilr
Interview
Their interview process was good, but has room for improvement. The way they executed it was sloppy an in poor taste.
It's a 4 part process, (which I participated in 3 of 4) with each step being somewhat unique. However the questions asked where a bit repetitive, and I ultimately wasn't asked back for step 4 for reasons that were not spoken of in step 3.
The reasons they decided not to move forward with me (if true) could have been identified after step one, which is very frustrating.
You're interviewed by those currently working in the AE role, one of which seemed to have no clue what was going on.
The best part of the whole processes was not even 12 hours after turning me down, I received a marketing email to use their service at my current role.
Looking back at the whole process I feel that I a part of a sales scheme that looks like they're hiring, but really just another avenue for new business.
