      Marketing Assistant Interview

      29 Aug 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Makati City
      Declined offer
      Neutral experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at RCBC Savings Bank (Makati City)

      Interview

Received a text message for an interview that's scheduled immediately on the following day. If I'm not mistaken, interviews & exams are scheduled on Tuesdays and Thursdays. There'll be an estimate of 20 people, but don't worry, they're applying for different positions for different locations. Exam consist of three parts: Logic, English, and Math; regardless of the position. Logic is basic sequence test. English is grammar (including right punctuation, capitalization, and construction). Math is more on arithmetic (sequence series, pemdas, fractions, conversion of fractions to decimals vice-versa, percent of a number etc). Each portion is timed for 60 minutes. After the exam, its time for an interview with the HR personnel. They will look at your resume and what you wrote on the questionnaire. It's pretty easy. Just remain calm. Make your voice clear. After a few days or so, you will receive a call for an interview with the VPs (fancy way of banks implying he/she is a manager) at the respective office location. You will probably talk to 3 people. You may get introduced to the division head. They did more of the talking such as explaining the role and such. For marketing assistant, you will be dealing with credit and loans like reviewing a client's credit if they are eligible to get a loan so, you have to be good at reading financial statements. Part of the job is "creative writing" because you have make the client look good on paper. It's not the typical creative marketing job that you'll get in other companies. Anyway, real deal is the face-to-face interview with the direct supervisor than the others. Pretty basic questions. Do note that an interview is a two-way street so be prepared to ask questions. It would be better if your questions aren't generic. After that, the supervisor will ask the HR for the exam results. You may have done great on the interviews, but the exam results is the make or break especially your math score because they will know if you're good with numbers or not. You will receive an JO in a week or two. If more than that, expect that you didn't get it.
