I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at RE/MAX (Louisville, KY) in Apr 2011
Interview
They basically wanted to know if I had ever sold real estate before and how successful I had been. If you are a rookie, you should start at a more traditional firm.
Very comfortable and geared towards you, the applicant. Interview includes questions regarding education, skills, and goals. Overall they are looking for a team player who is capable of working alone when necessary to succeed in home sales.

Interview
The interview process at RE/MAX is typically efficient, focusing on your experience in real estate, sales skills, and ability to work independently. Expect questions on your sales record, client management, and understanding of the local market. The atmosphere is professional yet welcoming.
Very formal and casual. Met with both managing broker and owner. First started off talking about myself and my experience, it later transitioned into them asking how I will contribute to the company success and goals. Afterwards we discussed salary, expectations and were impressed enough to offer me the position.
