      Negative experience

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at RE Partners (Bucharest, Bucuresti) in Dec 2022

      Interview

My recent experience with the interview process at RE-Partners has left me with mixed feelings and considerable concerns. Here's a breakdown of the key points: 1. **Lengthy Interview Process:** The interview process at RE-Partners was undeniably lengthy. While I understand the need for a comprehensive evaluation, the duration seemed excessive and contributed to a significant investment of time on my part. 2. **Rushed Screening Call:** The initial screening call was notably short, and it felt like the representative was in a hurry. This hurried approach left me with the impression that they were more focused on quickly moving through the process than thoroughly assessing my suitability for the role. 3. **Lack of Process and Scheduling Challenges:** Navigating the scheduling process with RE-Partners was chaotic. The absence of a clear scheduling system and the difficulty in finding available slots with relevant team members added unnecessary complexity to the process. 4. **Missed Meetings** The interviewer skipped two scheduled meetings, necessitating the rescheduling of three additional meetings to connect with them. This lack of punctuality and commitment was a red flag, especially when there was no apology or acknowledgement of the inconvenience caused. 5. **Absence of Company Values:** The company failed to provide clear information about its values when asked. This lack of transparency about the company's culture and values raised doubts about the organization's commitment to fostering a positive work environment. 6. **Client-Centric Focus:** Throughout the interview process, there was a noticeable emphasis on discussing clients, with minimal attention given to the company's approach to employee satisfaction and development. This imbalance in focus left me questioning the company's priorities. 7. **Unreasonable Tech Assessment Requests:** The technical assessment process was frustrating. Despite strictly adhering to their requirements and going above and beyond by completing optional tasks, there were continuous requests for changes and improvements. The lack of acknowledgement for the time and effort invested in these assessments was disheartening. 9. **Decision to Withdraw:** Ultimately, the culmination of these issues led me to withdraw from the recruitment process. The multiple red flags and the significant time investment required were untenable, making it clear that this might not be the right fit for me. In conclusion, while RE-Partners may have attractive opportunities, the interview process highlighted significant organizational and cultural concerns that, in my opinion, warrant careful consideration for anyone contemplating joining the company.
