I had applied to the Customer Experience Leader position. I had 5 years experience and had managed a team of 10. I was scheduled to interview over the phone at 11 am and when the time came, I received no phone call. I sent an email confirming we were still scheduled to have an interview that day but got no response. I went on about my day and ended up receiving a phone call at 2 pm to have the interview. No apology, no explanation, just "you ready to interview?". I went ahead with the interview only to find out they had decided to interview me for the customer associate position rather than the leader position I had applied for. The pay was significantly less than what was advertised on the website. Overall the whole experience was unprofessional and it spoke volumes to the type of leadership I'd be working with. I declined the in person interview because I feared I'd be entering into a toxic workplace enviornment.
