      Enterprise Client Executive Interview

      2 Apr 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Toronto, ON
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at RSA Security (Toronto, ON) in Mar 2025

      Interview

I recently went through the interview process for the Enterprise Client Executive role at RSA, which consisted of five interviews. Overall, the experience was mostly positive, but there were a few areas that stood out as concerning. Pros: • The hiring manager and VP of Sales were professional, detail-oriented, and insightful. They provided valuable information about the role, expectations, and company vision. • The process was well-structured, and I was able to engage in meaningful conversations about how my skills and experience aligned with the position. • I appreciated receiving feedback after each interview stage, which helped me gauge my progress. Cons: • During my initial conversation with HR, there was hesitation in sharing the salary range. Instead, the recruiter was more focused on my current compensation rather than providing transparency about RSA’s range for the role. However, the hiring manager later provided a specific salary number, though not a full range. • A conversation with a potential colleague was uncomfortable and unprofessional. He seemed overly curious about my ethnicity, which felt intrusive and inappropriate. He also pressured me to be more open with him, as if I were naïve and would see him as a friend rather than a potential colleague. His approach felt manipulative, and when I maintained a professional stance, he attempted to frame the role in a way that suggested it wasn’t a fit for me, implying I preferred “farming” over hunting and stating, “this is not a role to come and chill.” I found this approach biased and unwelcoming. • Despite receiving positive feedback after every interview stage, I was ultimately not selected for the role. While I understand hiring decisions are complex, the lack of transparency after consistently positive feedback was disappointing. Final Thoughts: RSA has strong leadership at the higher levels, and the structured interview process was a plus. However, transparency around compensation and ensuring all interviewers uphold professionalism and inclusivity are areas that could use improvement.
