I applied in-person. I interviewed at RTX (Aurora, CO) in Jul 2017
Interview
It was a professional open house. They saw my resume, liked what they saw, and proceeded to sell me on Raytheon and extended an offer. They were nice and friendly. If you fit the position they most likely will extend an offer.
Was introduced as behavioral but was fairly technical. Asked a few technical questions about subjects of your choice. Discussed past experiences from my resume and what I would do in other technical scenarios.
Described the work done at the location. Then asked several unrelated technical positions to the job title. Asked about software engineering experience and principles unrelated to job description or responsibilities.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at RTX (Windsor Locks, CT) in May 2025
Interview
the interview was very laid back and conversational, mainly had typical behavioral questions with no technical questions. the interviewer was clear about when i would hear back and gave enough time to ask questions near the end.
