First I had a zoom call with the hiring manager which went great, spoke about the role and my experience. I moved on to the next step with was a case study I needed to prepare and send in 2 hours before my case study interview. It was a very vague business loan scenario. They had me email for additional information. None of their guidelines were provided so the interpretation was really based on your own experience. When I had my interview they hadn’t reviewed what I had sent so I am not sure why they needed it beforehand. They had me share my screen with my pdf of my case study results. It was said the case study would be the first 20 minutes of that interview however that’s all I did during the call. The hiring manager wasn’t even on this zoom call. It was 3 people in the risk department who I would be working alongside. They didn’t ask me anything about my experience or background. They appeared to already have their mind made up before it even started as this one girl immediately started interrogating my response and being very combative. She told me the response I received when I asked for additional information actually had some misinformation by just repeatedly telling me one of the payments the “business” had on a credit card was a different amount and not acknowledging the error they had made when I reached out for additional information, so I had to on the spot change my case study response. I took a moment and re-evaluated while she continued to fire questions and interrupt me while smirking, laughing under her breath and even rolling her eyes. The process was very disorganized if this is any indication of how the company is run and the people on the panel were very patronizing and rude. They made me feel like I wasn’t worth their time (even though I have 15 years of finance experience). They didn’t know what the next steps were and never even asked me any questions other than the case study even though it was said that would only be a part of this call. After the call I re-wrote my case study results and emailed to the recruiter to send on to the hiring manager noting the error they had made that caused the change. A couple hours later I received an email that I was no longer being considered for the role and an option for feedback. No thanks, I’d rather not be bullied anymore and spoken down to. Appears they have been trying to hire for this role for over 4 months, no wonder. If this is any indication of how they treat their customers I can’t imagine why anyone would want to work with them either as an employee or customer. I have never had such a horrible interview experience. My advice, don’t waste your time. There’s better companies out there with more talent and grace. I can’t even imagine working there if this is how they act in the interview process. It must be a disorganized mess with people patronizing you and trying to intimidate you.
