I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Realnets (Chicago, IL) in Dec 2014
Interview
I interviewed in late 2014.
Overall the interview was extremely easy and the company seemed rather cheap / poor working conditions (according to what I read online).
The process consisted of a phone screen and an in person interview. The in person interview was rather short for a tech role. They had a list of technical questions and I was able to go through and answer pretty much all of them. Then they asked me to write a fizzbuzz program on the whiteboard. This was on a Friday and I believe I received an offer on the next Monday. I had totally undervalued myself and gave them a low salary requirement.
They made me an offer in the middle of it and it was under $50,000. At the time I didn't realize that I was worth way more than that so I accepted the offer. They wanted me to start almost right away, but I delayed them as I wasn't comfortable with that. I talked to people and looked at glassdoor and was feeling like I made the wrong choice so I called them and declined the offer. Ended up receiving a much better offer from another company a week later.
Interview questions [3]
Question 1
Write a fizzbuzz loop on the board in whatever language you're comfortable in.
Typical questions were asked such as "where do you see yourself in five years?" overall not overly difficult. They were reluctant to offer any information about benefits in the interview, not sure as to why?
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Asked me about different languages I was unsure about, just be honest and tell what you know, and don't know.
I applied through university. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Realnets
Interview
The interview was kept casual and felt more like I was being interview for my interpersonal skills a little more than technical skills. Seeing as how it is a tight group, they seemed to place a lot of importance on team work as well as the ability to work solo as required
