I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Rebel Sport (Bankstown)
Interview
The hiring process consisted of 2 interviews.
The first was a group interview. We had a total of 3 tasks;
1. Ranking valuables in a moon scenario both individually and in groups.
2. Sharing basic questions with one another and presenting.
3. Selling an item of choice within the store.
The second interview was pretty much a normal 1 on 1 interview with the 2 hiring managers. Standard questions.
I will say that the time they said the deadline is before they called back was terrible. They said "If you don't hear by Tuesday, assume you didn't get the second interview" and proceeded to contact us on Friday. Again, "If you didn't hear from us by next Tuesday, assume you didn't get the job", they called us 3 days after the deadline to tell us it will take another week or so.
Lastly, if you didn't get the job, you don't hear back from my experience.
So the interview process is a bit poor and sluggish, but the interviews themselves were enjoyable and I actually had a good time.
Individual interview for 15 minutes with the store manager during opening hours. Questions on teamwork, previous experience, product knowledge. It was generally a standard interview, and was asked how you would manage day to day tasks and customer enquires.
