I was referred to this job by a colleague who works there and got contacted by a recruiter shortly after. The first call was casual, just trying to get to know me but got a little awkward when he kept asking me over and over why I’d want to work there, almost as if he didn’t believe me. I moved onto another interview with one of their customer support managers and had a great chat, very personable and we seemed to really hit it off. I was then sent a written exercise where I needed to answer customer questions. I put a lot of work and resources into this using the tools they provided. A few days later I received a form rejection email with no feedback. After going through 3 steps and doing this written assessment, I deserved more than just a standard email that was sent to multiple people. Feedback should be given in this day and age especially at the third stage in the process. When my referral reached out for feedback their response was “we can’t hire everybody”.
