I applied online. I interviewed at Recruiting in Motion in Sept 2024
Interview
I had a very disappointing and unprofessional experience with a recruiter from Recruiting in Motion while applying for a Senior Software Developer position. Initially, the recruiter promised to send an invite for a call, but failed to do so. After rescheduling, the interview started on an even worse note. Just as I was introducing myself, the recruiter said she needed to take a phone call, leaving me waiting for five minutes. After this wait, she messaged saying it would take another five minutes, which was extremely frustrating and unprofessional.
Given my experience and expertise, I was confident the role was a perfect fit for the client. However, due to this unprofessional behavior, I decided to withdraw from the process entirely. What should have been a straightforward interview left me feeling frustrated and angry, leading me to discontinue my pursuit of the role.
Unfortunately, this experience reflects poorly on both the recruiter and the agency as a whole. I hope they improve their communication and professionalism in the future.
I applied through other source. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Recruiting in Motion (Orlando, FL) in Apr 2019
Interview
Step 1: Initial Screening Calls with Senior Management In this phase, candidates who meet the initial qualifications are typically contacted for a preliminary phone call with senior members of the hiring team. This call aims to give both parties an overview of each other. Expect questions about your background, skills, and your interest in the company and role. This is also an opportunity for you to ask any initial questions you might have. Step 2: Video Call with Founders If you successfully pass the initial screening, you might be invited to a video call with the company's founders. This step is crucial as it demonstrates that you're being seriously considered for the position. During this call, you'll likely discuss your experiences in more detail, delve into your expertise, and showcase how you align with the company's values and mission. Step 3: Final Call with Active Independent Director Reaching this stage indicates you're a strong contender. The final call with an active independent director signifies that your candidacy is being evaluated from a higher-level perspective. This call could involve more in-depth discussions about your understanding of the company's day-to-day operations, your vision for the role, and how you plan to meet expectations. Be prepared to answer questions about your strategy for success and how you plan to contribute to the company's growth. Step 4: Q&A and Clarifications This final call might also provide an opportunity for you to ask detailed questions about the day-to-day responsibilities, team dynamics, company culture, growth opportunities, and any other aspects that are important to you. This is a two-way evaluation process, so your questions demonstrate your genuine interest and enthusiasm for the role. Step 5: Follow-Up and Additional Steps After the final call, the company might conduct reference checks to verify the information you've provided and to gain insight into your work ethic and abilities. There are additional steps such as skill assessments, and personality tests.

Question 1
Do you have agency recruiting experience? Were you more focused on business development or recruitment? Did you run a full desk? What industry did you specialize in? How do you source potential candidates? Can you describe your approach to client relationship management?
Contacts the candidates several times for several opportunities but never reach the employer interview stage. If a recruiter is not capable of determining who is a good fit from the beginning then why waste the time of the candidate?
