My interview process was a little atypical. I had a meet and greet call and was really excited to move forward. The company, team, and position seemed great but I had to put the process on hold. I was bummed but Redox was very accommodating. 4 months later, I reached back out and was able to start right where I left off. Here are some highlights:
* Super relevant work/questions for interviewing
* awesome recruiting staff
* responsive hiring managers
* other people from the team were available to chat
* 30 min breaks between each section of the interview
The interview process was 3 parts: System Design, Team management, and Culture.
1. Redox sent a system (needing to be designed) a week ahead of my interview and asked that I returned a design 24-hours prior to my scheduled interview. The system seemed to be very relevant to the work Redox is doing and kept me engaged. The conversation about the design was fun and thought provoking. Each question seemed to clarify the idea that this was an actual problem Redox has encountered.
2. The second part was focused on how to manage a team to accomplish building this new system even though they are already busy with other feature and maintenance work. We talked about how to interact with Product and the other team members to deliver the new work on a timeline while still meeting the needs of product and the team.
3. The last part was fun conversation around past experiences I've had and what they meant to me.
This is getting a little long so I'll wrap up. I was very happy with the whole process. I felt valued and respected.
