I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Regions Financial (Jonesboro, AR) in May 2012
Interview
After applying they e-mailed me a skills test which consisted of a several customer/employee situations, and how you would handle them prior to any policy training. After that there was a brief mathematical test which consisted of adding/subtracting/percentages. Then there was a portion with example checks and check stubs you had to verify were correct, as if you were an actual teller (they explained what to look for). After about 2-3 weeks I was contacted from Regions HR office and given a phone interview with questions about "where I saw myself in 5 years" and "why choose regions". They also asked about prior money-handling experience. I never heard back for several more weeks, so I called back this HR office number and left a voice mail to check on the status of my application. Within a week of that call I was called by the local branch (with the applied job) and was scheduled a 1:1 interview with the Assistant VP/Branch Manager (on a Friday/next day). All the 1:1 interview questions were situational and asked about my prior work experience and how they could reflect on the teller position. They were very keen about learning more about my personality and how I handled stress. The following Wednesday (5 days after my 1:1 interview) I was called by the same HR office woman and offered the job, which I gladly accepted.

Question 1
When was there a time when you had to "sell" something to someone in a prior work environment?
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Regions Financial (Tampa, FL) in Jan 2017
Interview
Applied online about a week or so later I received a call from HR to do a phone interview. After completing the phone interview about two weeks or so later I went in for an interview at the branch with the manager and about two weeks later HR called me to offer me the position and it takes about another 2 weeks to go through background check and drug test in order to actually start. Probably took longer than usual because it was in between a few holidays.

I was interviewed by the branch manager and it was basic questions as what do you want from this company? How long do you see yourself working with the company? What are your personal and business goals? ect. It was more chit chat and thank you but we have others to interview so we will be in touch.

Interview
Seven months ago I received an email inviting me to a group interview for Regions Bank. I participated in the interview with four other candidates. In the interview we filled out a preference sheet where we indicated what position and location we were interested in. The atmosphere was smooth and the HR managers made it a quick and enjoyable process. We were told that we would get an email stating whether or not we would get a second interview. I received the email but I didn't have a second interview until about three months later, where I didn't get the position. I interviewed again for another location a month after then, same results, I didn't get the position :(. Here it is five months later and I have been contacted for a third interview for a teller position. I am encouraged because each interview I have learned something new. I have found out that the management staff gives chances and they just don't dismiss their candidates. I'll be posting letting you all know whether I get the position or not. I hope this review helps someone. It can be a lengthy process but I'm sure it is worth it.
