      Executive Assistant Interview

      24 Sept 2015
      Anonymous employee
      Beverly Hills, CA
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Relativity Media (Beverly Hills, CA) in Jan 2015

      Interview

Two step process. One with HR. They screened you to see if you'd be a fit in the company culturally and professionally. Last interview was then with the Executive. It was primarily to discuss their expectations. Whether or not we could be a match.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

With the Executive. Discussed what my goals were in the industry. How i dealt with in a team. How I managed stress. We discussed where I went to school. How I dealt with conflicting opinions. There was no question of actually hard skills (computer, phone, etc)

      Executive Assistant Interview

      12 Sept 2016
      Anonymous employee
      Los Angeles, CA
      Accepted offer
      Negative experience

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Relativity Media (Los Angeles, CA) in Aug 2016

      Interview

Met with the current assistant, then the director I would be supporting. The two people I met with were extremely friendly and helpful describing the position and answering any questions I had. After meeting with people in the department I was offered the job and a certain rate and asked for a bump in salary. HR was completely useless. They went through 2 days of salary negotiations, called and told me the highest number they were allowed to give and I accepted. After a week with no communication I was told that they were no longer able to extend an offer because of the requested bump in pay. HR is now denying that an offer was ever extended, even though the phone conversation with them I said I accepted the job and was told the department would be so excited to have me on board. Worst part is they knew I had another job offer on the table and I said I declined that job for them. HR is just covering themselves by saying no offer was extended. They should be ashamed. But in the end, guess I dodged a bullet bc if I see this from the outside who knows how the company is truly run.
