Interview
I went through a lengthy 4-round interview process at rennie, which felt excessive and a poor use of applicants' time. In addition to the interviews, I was asked to complete two assignments—one writing and one design—both of which added to the time investment. The entire process stretched over six weeks and included an in-office interview. After submitting my assignments, I had to follow up because they never responded. When they finally responded, they said it would take a few more assignments and weeks to get back to me—an absurd request after such a lengthy process—but I never heard from them again.
Throughout the process, they repeatedly emphasized that the culture at rennie is intense, fast-paced, and involves challenging clients. This, combined with the lack of follow-up, made me question whether the demanding work environment they described would be a good fit.
The people I interacted with came across as lacking authenticity, which left me feeling disconnected from the conversation. Their responses and demeanor seemed rehearsed or surface-level, rather than engaging or heartfelt. I value meaningful interactions, where people are sincere and genuine in their communication, but this experience felt more transactional than authentic. It made me question whether the culture or values align with what I’m looking for in a team or organization.

Interview
Interviewing at Rennie has been such a comfortable and supportive experience.
The recruiter (HR coordinator) showed exceptional candidate experience and made me immediately feel at ease. She listened to me and answered questions, a while relating back to the company’s values.
For my second interview, I met with a leader who again showed the company’s people first culture while sharing all the exciting challenges this role has to offer.
