      Infrastructure Engineer Interview

      12 Jul 2015
      Anonymous employee
      Santa Monica, CA
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6 months. I interviewed at Riot Games (Santa Monica, CA) in Mar 2015

      Interview

Once scheduled, which took a significant amount of time in itself, the interview was quite lengthy lasting about 9 hours. The interview process was incredibly thorough, and to be honest, reassured me that this was the right place for me, and somewhere that I wanted to be. If they cared this much about the caliber of people coming in, Riot might just be the place they say they are; and indeed they are. The process was intensive, it was psychologically taxing, and at the end of it, I walked away feeling proud and knowing that I was only myself, and they could take me or leave me. And my advice would be the same to anyone. Do not try to be something you are not, especially at Riot. Not only will you not last long, but you'll hate your job. Be yourself, and if its a fit, it'll work out.
