I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at River Island (Trafford Park, England) in Aug 2015
Interview
There was 21 of us all together ranging from the age 16-30. We were taken into the room with two managers which resembled the style of a boardroom. The tables were taken to the side though and all the chairs were in a circle. We all sat round and the main manager conducting the interview asked us to go round, state our name and say two interesting facts about ourselves. He then split us up into groups of 3 and sent us to different parts of the room. In the group we had to come up with words we thought of when hearing the name River Island and then feedback as a big group. We then went back to our areas and had to come up with three different examples (one each) of good customer service we had received in any store following the same structure of feeding back to the rest of the groups. The final task was drawing a stick man on a piece of paper and picking an event and outfit for them to attend. My group chose first date/meeting the parents which the assistant manager seemed to like. Then we just had to show our passports discuss availability and were free to leave.

Interview
My interview was done online with an ai bot who asks you questions. I answered them but I don’t think the questions are the same for everyone. But I did my best and in my opinion interviews online is better than face to face.
