The interview was canceled at the very last minute, literally at the scheduled time. The reason provided was that I allegedly did not have a certification that was never listed or mentioned in the original job requirements. Later, via text message, I was informed that they had “just changed everything” and that professional-level English was now required, a condition that had also not been communicated at any point prior to the confirmation of the interview. Canceling a confirmed interview under these circumstances, based on newly introduced requirements and without prior notice, reflects a lack of professionalism and suggests an arbitrary decision-making process after the fact.
