Robinhood will send a three-hour take-home challenge to all the potential candidates. The challenge is average difficulty in general but with a few tricky SQL questions. It makes me feel like Robinhood’s data science team only cares about candidate’s data extraction capabilities. Overall, the take-home challenge consumes too much time and the recruiter won’t give you any meaningful feedback. This is understandable but just don’t worth the time.

A former colleague recommended me for the Data Scientist position at Robinhood, which led to an initial phone screen. The technical round was intense, featuring a challenging SQL question about user trading volume and a design question for an A/B test. The time I spent on prachub.com helped significantly; I had just worked on similar scenarios, so it felt familiar. After a few days, I received an offer, which I gladly accepted. The overall experience was tough but rewarding, and I was thrilled to join the team.
The first round was a VI with a senior data engineer. Technical interview, with one Python question and two SQL questions. The interviewer was really nice, and gave lots of hints and instructions.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Robinhood in Mar 2022
Interview
A recruiter reached out, had a recruiter call, then was directed to complete a timed assessment within 2 weeks. 3 hour time limit. Completed the assessment, then got a rejection email saying they don't give feedback. If I would have known that beforehand I wouldn't have bothered. Company seems to be headed downhill anyway. Stay away imo.
