I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Rocket Fiber (Detroit, MI)
Interview
Went through a phone screening and then an in person interview. Interviews were easy and I received a verbal offer the following week. I then proceeded to accept the offer. After a few days of background check stuff, they gave me the official written offer. Later that day, they took back their offer and said the company has shifted and no longer needed the position.

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Rocket Fiber (Detroit, MI)
Interview
Had a couple of phone interviews. Was brought in for F2F interview and one of VP/ main interviewers weren't there. They could've rescheduled but instead I had to drive back a second time to downtown office to finally interview with one of the founders. It was inconsiderate to take up half of my day twice considering I have a full-time job. C-level seemed to be a know-it-all about an industry (telecom) he never worked in, just because he has read a couple of textbooks about it. No offers - don't think they could've afforded the salary I was seeking being they're a startup.
Talked to two different recruits for two different jobs at QL. Situation was always the same. They picked the most negative things they can think of to talk about and focus the whole conversation on that. Never asked about things you enjoy at current/previous jobs, what your passion is, transferable skills, successful projects, etc. If two different people did that, could be something they're asked to do according to script. Did not pay attention to or take notes for answers given. They'd ask, "...so you're saying...?" and it was as if they were thinking of some other conversation they had. Had to repeat myself over and over and over.
