He was informed about the role and the team and gave me a good sense of the follow up. The hiring manager seemed empowered to direct the interview as needed. She was personable, yet did light knowledge checks to ensure I actually had the required acumen. She was very thorough, describing the team's history, goals, and challenges. She encouraged my questions and challenged me to ask team members what working for her was actualy like. The final step was a team interview, which was a great balance between structured free.
