      Question 1

Question for the how to define the product metrics interview round. If you were the Senior PM at Uber, how will you define the metrics and north star for your team before leaving on a 2 months break. You realise that the Senior PM of another team at Uber isn't happy because of the goals your team are trying to achieve can cannibalise their product. How do you resolve this?

      Product Manager Interview

      24 Jan 2023
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Sydney
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Rokt (Sydney) in Dec 2022

      Interview

Really poor experience. Recruiter reached out saying I matched Rokt's desired profile. We discussed my goals, experience and salary expectations and he put me forward for interview as he felt I would be a good fit. Rokt then reached out to me directly, bizarrely largely bypassing the recruiter.. sure whatever. During this time, I saw that the salary bracket was advertised on the job description. Not only was it above average for the market, but I loved the transparency that it showed and had good vibes about the company. First interview went well - talked about my background / experience and reaffirmed my salary expectations. After this, there was a mandated online IQ test. Following this, I did back-to-back second/third interviews, which seemed to go well. My recruiter got in touch and then asked for my salary expectations again. I reminded him we had discussed this in our initial chat and I'd also re-confirmed my expectations during my first interview. He then went on to say that they had 'assessed' me and that the salary for that level was not only significantly below the level that I had clearly stated multiple times throughout the process, but it was also $20k BELOW THE BOTTOM BRACKET OF THEIR OWN JOB DESCRIPTION. To me, this is timewasting at best for all involved, but I feel like I've been bait and switched, which has left a real bitter taste in my mouth.

Interview 3: - Imagine you're a PM at Youtube, what metrics would you use to track the success of the product
