Very informal and casual, but detailed information about the business, opportunities and operations were provided, in addition to the expectations of the role itself. Interview was very professional and comfortable and stayed on schedule.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Roofmart (Calgary, AB) in Nov 2017
Interview
I was recruited on LinkedIn by a third party company who do a lot of recruiting for Rpogmart, although mostly in Sales, however they were approached by the Roofmart team to recruit a purchaser to add to the group. After meeting with the recruiter (September) I was informed that she thought I was a good fit and would put me forward as the third party candidate's best prospect. In November I was scheduled for an interview with a senior manager at Roofmart. The interview with him lasted about 45 minutes. During that time I wasn't asked a single real question. I spent most of the time listening to him complain about the fact that it would be impossible to hire an external person into the role and there was no way I could possibly do the job without spending months working in the store memorizing sku's and truly understanding the depth and nuance of a roofing company. At the conclusion of the interview we shook hands and I never heard from him or the recruiter again.
