First interview with the hiring manager about administrative topics, then a take-home test (~5hr), then an interview with the team which included presenting the solution (at which point I was told it was the last hoop), then providing references from previous employment, then an interview with HR, then another administrative interview with the hiring manager (same topics as before) in which he tried to low-ball me despite having agreed on the salary before, then a couple email follow ups assuring me he'd make a decision soon, then a negative decision a month later. Was asked some inappropriate questions, timelines were not kept, extra hoops were added where they shouldn’t be, and was met with typical recruiting BS about trying to downplay my experience to pay me less and making it sound as if the job were already mine. Mind you, there was no third-party recruiter involved.
